Yeah, I have trouble believing anything that has Alabama as the #19 college football brand.

I'd agree if the poll were taken among Alabama fans.  But given that the poll was the top 225 recruits, my guess is that a substantial number of those athletes have either (a) been rejected by Alabama or (b) prefer another SEC school or © prefer another conference or (d) like Alabama, but have other preferences.

Whereas Stanford, I think, would take just about any of the Top 225 recruits.  Their only caveat is that you have to be smart enough and willing enough to get admitted.  And that's all on the recruit.  And since Stanford has terrific football and recruits nationally, I could definitely see the #9 rating.
