DWP and Swann are going to be in the good category. The question is can Jackson pick up his game? If he can. the starting DL could be dare I say a strength of the defense.
It's amazing how reliant this defense is going to be on underclassmen up-front, and that includes Gabe Reid as an OLB as "the best pass rusher" during Spring so far. Also wouldn't rule out Booker, A. Fox, or Umerah getting some reps this season in limited roles.
Makes you wonder if it makes sense for Stanford to bring in guys as talented as Solomon Thomas out of high school. Because Thomas would be a Senior this season if he wasn't so good so early. So too would Phillips if he played out his eligibility. Not saying it's better to have lesser talented players per se, but at this time of year, I think about Virginia in hoops, as a school that doesn't bring in guys who will leave exceptionally early, and look at them.
