The 200 IM and 50 free prelims also met expectations. Ella Eastin was the 5 seed coming in, and had the second-fastest time in prelims, so she'll have a great lane for the A final. Ally Howe was predicted for the B final, and that's where she'll be.
Simone Manuel was the top seed coming in for the 50 free, and she qualified third, so she'll be in good position to win tonight. But it's the 50 free, so who knows what will happen. (No other Stanford swimmers in either the A or B finals, but that was expected.)
