Quote:Here\'s a story about Jeremy Lin, the Palo Alto High guard that Trent Johnson didn\'t want. (As the story points out, a lot of other people, including Randy Bennett at St. Mary\'s, also took a pass.) Lin has just signed with the Warriors.

Lin wasn\'t recruited, because at the time, Lin wasn\'t good enough. Â
In 2007, Harvard lost to Stanford 111-56 and in 21 minutes of play as a starting shooting guard, Lin got 0 points on 0 for 6 shooting, had zero assists, five fouls and a turnover. Â Nine Harvard players scored, including six reserves, but Lin didn\'t get a point. Â He fouled out in 21 minutes. Â To be fair, he led the team in steals with 2.
It was the sixth highest score in Stanford history and the third highest margin. Â The guy he was guarding, Goods, scored 17 points on 5 of 6 shooting from three point range...and Goods did that when he was ill. Â He only played 16 minutes. Â Some of Jeremy\'s friends from Paly showed up with "The Jeremy Lin Show" T shirts.
Lin\'s come a long, long way since. Â But at the time, he wasn\'t nearly ready.
