The first football game I ever saw was the greatest one ever played: The 1958 Colts-Giants NFL championship game.
Without checking references, name the participants in that game who are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
And what player set a championship game record in that game that lasted over 30 years?
For Colts: Johnny Unitas, Raymond Berry, Alan Ameche
For Giants: Frank Gifford, Sam Huff, Kyle Rote, Roosevelt Grier?
These are pure guesses from a childhood spent listening to the Giants on the radio.
Edit: Above was only 4 correct out of 7 guesses. And left out many, since identified by others. Alan Ameche scored the winning TD but not HOF. Kyle Rote and Roosevelt Grier also not HOF.
Thanks for putting this out there Hulk. It brought back some great childhood memories and filled some time before the Masters telecast today!
Geaux Cardinal!
