Let me emphasize this: I am not ONLY blaming Williamson for the loss. Obviously, there were many other things we could have done to avoid even facing a situation where all our hopes lie on a redshirt freshman.
But that is not why I posted this thread. This is solely about whether Williamson is fit to be our kicker in the future after this season. To me, he demonstrated his inability to step up in big situations time and time again (not just this game). Even if he makes every kick next year, we will all be nervous when we NEED him to make a FG to win a game. He will almost definitely have flashbacks any time he needs to make a big kick.
To me, that is the most important thing, and I know I am being as harsh and unforgiving as I sound.
I feel for Jordan, and wish him the best. He should know that life goes on, this does not mean he is a bad kicker, and he will certainly be successful no matter what in the future.
Maybe, somehow this helps him in the future make those clutch kicks. I just don't think it will. THAT is what I am saying.
