I think it is important to point out that OSU's kicker missed a 37 yard field goal against Iowa State which would have won the game and sent OSU into the National Championship game against LSU - which I think they would have won. But he missed it. That was a much bigger miss and loss that had more impact and ramifications than our loss.
This is the same kicker that came back to win the Fiesta Bowl against us with a field goal and is considered the best kicker in the country.
That's how games can go. Nothing is certain. And one can learn and grow and redeem and succeed.
I have a very strong feeling that this loss will have a net positive effect on our team. It will bring them closer. It will make them stronger, more determined, and hungry. They haven't reached where they wanted to be yet - they could see it, they could smell it, they could feel it. But they have more to accomplish and work towards.
