Frankly, if he really cannot play this year, it would be great to secure the extra year of eligibility so that he would have more time after Costello leaves. NCAA regulations require a player to use his four years of eligibility in five years. This is his redshirt freshman season, and he cannot have it back even if he does not play.(09-30-2018, 07:19 AM)JPR36 Wrote:(09-29-2018, 09:26 PM)cardcrimson Wrote: Heard on the Stanford pre-game that with Mills out, Costello was expected to not risk running. Is Mills now officially out again, having reinjured his knee being in for, what, 1-2 series against UC Davis?
Hate to say it, and I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think he is going to be able to stay healthy long enough to be a significant contributor to Stanford football.
Too bad, since he was such a great prospect coming out of high school.
What is the Mills injury, exactly? He could sit out this season and return healthy in Spring, depending on what the deal is.
I wasn't implying he could redshirt. Sitting out means not playing too.
