Rose Bowl is always #1. It is the biggest of the BCS set. And yet, a ratings point in prime time has more viewers, so total viewership for the Fiesta Bowl was very, very close to total viewership of the Rose Bowl. Great news for the Pac-12 and Stanford.
FWIW - The media attention was clearly focused on the Fiesta Bowl too. At Orange Bowl last night the endzone areas had very few media types. And almost no one standing beyond the endline. Compare that to the Fiesta Bowl where the media types were 2 and 3 deep along that endzone area in the 4th quarter and OT.
