I appreciate Kyle's job of keeping everyone up to date with recruiting news, but tweeting the status of an application to a University (especially tweeting news of a rejection) strikes me as being unethical. If you received news that you had not been accepted to Stanford, would you really want that tweeted around the blogosphere? I know celebrities don't legally have the same rights to privacy that average folk have, since their fame basically makes use of the media, but do 17 year old HS football players really qualify for that status, just because a lot of us follow their progress into college? I'm as big a recruiting junkie as anyone, and excited to know if Ifeadi Odenigbo will be coming to Stanford, but this situation actually bothers me a bit. What do you all think?Â
