This situation: Kick the Winning Field Goal, doesn't happen only in football.

I play trombone in various non-professional settings, one of which being a semi-annual local Messiah performance.  During the Hallelujah Chorus, there's this sudden trumpet riff out of nowhere about three-quarters of the way through.  Watching the sacrificial trumpet player sweating this out, fingering the valves, huffing into the mouthpiece, shaking like the bass aria in Part I, it brings to mind the snap-and-kick.  You either make the entrance on pitch in time or....
