With regard to the three point shooting, I wonder if it was that our shooters had lost confidence after Tara's Oregon remarks, or whether there were concrete instructions given to minimize shooting the 3. I saw even Bonnie pull one down that she might have taken. We went from 42 three point attempts to 8. I also think that missed 3 point attempts are often a decent way to get Nneka and Chiney offensive rebounds and put backs--perhaps better than those lobs.
What did you think of Toni's defense on Ali Gibson in the second half? The Oregon papers are featuring Gibson's breakout performance in the first half. Tara mentioned and the Chronicle highlighted that Toni was assigned to guard her in the second half and played "suffocating defense." Gibson's production dropped from 13 to 3. Is Toni our best quick defender?
