Shaw explained in his presser, which is more insightful than most you will see, why they do what they do with QBs. There is a certain logic to it. I would add that it's pretty rare for two QBs to be out injured at the same time like last Spring. And speaking of that, the most surprising almost unbelievable thing he said was "Spring doesn't matter." Would have been nice for a reporter to dig deeper into what he meant there.
"Spring doesn't matter" sure doesn't fit with all the rhetoric we've heard about how long it takes Stanford QB's to master the playbook and learn to run the offense. It would be interesting to hear Shaw try to reconcile the two.
