What a great story for Stanford to tell about Barry J. Sanders.  Provides a great deal of power for Stanford coaches to use on prospective recruits that at first don't show interest in the school.  They can say look at Barry Sanders.  He had absolutely no interest in our school until he just happened to be in California and decided to check it out.  He fell in love with it.  You might too.  The place is special.  And then send a Green Eggs & Ham book to the recruit, to be memorable and drive home that they should try it before saying they don't like it!
