So Costello gets hit in the head, goes out for one play, no exam, and goes right back in. Nicely done!

He was forced to sit out a play by the refs for his injury.

Yeah, that’s my point. A head injury should get an exam by someone. Instead they purposely ignore it and send him back in.

Costello tried to stay in the game.  By definition, a player has to come out for at least a play if there is an injury stoppage (though I'd have thought that would have been Hall).  In any case, it was clear that Costello wasn't actually hurt in the play, though you could make a case that he should have undergone a quick eval to make sure that he really wasn't hurt (and "toughing it out").
