81alum: I saw Lindy picking up Sage Indendi (#22) in the backcourt and harassing her all the way up the floor, not Toni on Ali Gibson (#14).

I assume the coaches saw a weakness in ballhandling and/or quickness in Indendi that meant we could harass her even with Lindy and not have her blow by us. Indendi was normally the one to bring the ball up the floor for OSU, but with Lindy on her so tightly, OSU would bring three players into the backcourt instead of the normal two and usually inbound to the guard that no one was defending.

Interesting.  Yes, I saw the three player thing and was curious about it.  While I'm sure that I saw Toni harassing an Oregon State player up the court a few times, I could be wrong about nearly everything else!  I think for more experienced fans the game slows down--as it does for players--and some of you are able to notice details that I miss.  Thanks for putting me right.

Come to think of it, maybe that was the switch that Tara talked about.  Was Toni on Indenti (as the point guard) in the first half and Lindy on Aly Gibson--then Tara flipped them in the second half after Aly "went off" and Indenti seemed less dangerous?
