I don't see Oregon State finishing in the top six.
A fourth in Pac 12 finish--behind us, UCLA, and ASU--wouldnt surprise me.
They lost too much offense and haven't replaced it.
They had a great middle defense with Grenier (SS) and Madrigal (2B) last year,
and Mardrigal was an elite offensive player and Grenier was a bona fide top of the order bat.
Lost Larnach, too, a lethal power hitter.
They led off last night with a guy hitting .111
Jones, Armstrong, and Taylor, who all figured to start, are slashing at a combined .162.,256..285.--
Omar the Outmakers.
They seem certain to improve as the days get warmer
and deserve their current ranking, based on their current win loss record.
Bruins and Beavers face off today.
Beavs have used up their best long reliever, Mulholland can go long for them, however.
Quite a match up.
