It re-emphasizes that I would never get accepted to Stanford now. But on the plus side, as a middle-aged white guy I read these stories and feel inspired to try to live up to what an 18-year-old has already accomplished.

I met an boy who picked "Hans" because it sounded like his Chinese name Han, and another who picked "Robin" because he liked Batman.
