I was wondering why Macario didnt get a shot at the team.  Found the answer here...

While currently working with an immigration lawyer to obtain U.S. citizenship, Macario, 19, would even then not be eligible to play for the U.S. in international competition until she turns 23, barring a successful appeal of FIFA's residency requirement for naturalized citizens.
