Some notes on the final standings.
Stanford could have dropped their next 3 lowest scores and still have finished first.
By finishing 3rd, Florida continues its streak of never finishing lower than 7th. They are the only school other than Stanford to have always finished in the top 10. They also do it by competing in only 9 men's sports and 12 women's sports.
USC seems to have become a player. They are 1 of 4 schools to have finished in the top 10 for the last 6 years. Obviously, Stanford and Florida are 2 of the other schools; Texas is the 4th.
After never finishing higher than UCLA in the first 22 years, USC has been 2-2 in the last 4 years.
By winning the football title, Clemson will be tied for 5th in the Capital One Cup with N. Dakota St. They finished 73rd here, behind Navy, New Mexico, and Georgetown.
