How about folks just wear sunblock, sunglasses, hats and drink lots of water?

It's still uncomfortable. Also, I think the seats were actually dangerous, it really did feel like I was getting burned every time I sat on one. Fortunately I have one of those foam cushions.

But, for me personally, the biggest issue was that my 3-year-old was utterly uninterested in being there. Normally if he's not into sitting down I can put something on his tablet or just wander the stadium, but he spent literally the whole time asking to go home. The family next to us that also has small kids bailed after like 10 minutes. It's hard to justify subjecting small children to that.
