If you are saying that all NCAA schools that offer scholarships reduced the scholarship by the amount of funds earned by the athlete, I like the idea.  It's fair.  However, I don't think you could ever get them all to agree.  All it would take is one Power 5 holdout to torpedo the idea.  I can hear the pitch, "Hey, come to Alabama and you can get a full ride and keep all of the money from selling your image.  And, we've got rich boosters that will give you lots of money for your image."

Yup...that's what I was saying and I imagine you're right...that one holdout might make it moot and the $EC would likely provide more than one. Maybe, though, if there were just a few holdouts (I can't imagine too many ADs or university presidents will like the NIL idea) the scholarship limit of 85 would make it work. I see a tiered system in the future for college football, anyway.
