That’s a good line. It is what Shaw wants to do. Slowly squeeze the life out of the opponent. It ain’t pretty. But it’s been remarkably successful. They just haven’t had the o-line to do it. Obviously o-line is key to any offense. But to Shaw’s style it’s that much more important.
This game reminded me a little on 2013 Oregon, which is interesting given Gaffney‘s pregame talk etc. The Oregon game was a little more run oriented - I think Gaffney carried it 45 times. But in both games the offense consistently sustained long drives. brobdingnagian TOP difference. Often a meaningless stat. But not for Stanford.
