They are both in Florida for Stage 2 of LPGA Q school.
Despite missing them, the women's team came in second this weekend and freshman Angie Ye won by 2 or 3 shots. I talked with Coach Walker and she was REALLY pleased with their performance, especially seeing some of the younger girls step up in leadership and be the players the team is counting on to play well. With two of the top 10 amateurs in the world at the top of the lineup, the rest of the team isn't often put in that position.
They have to be the favorites to win the national championship this year, but May is a long way off. Not clear if Lee or Valenzuela is going to finish the season before turning pro (I think they will). And injuries can always happen. I was surprised by the number of players wearing KT tape.
