Another note: Angelica Blake has now won a collegiate singles title and a doubles title, and she's been a student for all of a month. I don't know where Lele will slot her in the lineup, but the following lineup intrigues me:
1. Gordon
2. Arbuthnott
3. Blake
4. Shin
5. Higuchi
6. Madurawe
I'm tempted to have Higuchi play #6, but probably better to let her start the season at 5 and see how it goes. I'd like the flexibility to play her either at 5 or 6 depending on the matchup, since we know she struggles with taller players and big hitters. But I'm very optimistic about Blake, and playing Shin at 4 instead of 3 makes me feel a bit more relieved. And between Madurawe and Choy, I like the idea of playing Madurawe more, but it's something of a coin flip until we see more about their current level. And then in doubles, we're probably looking at this:
1. Arbuthnott/Blake
2. Gordon/Shin
3. Choy/Madurawe
