I gotta think that our season finale loss to Berkeley not only got them into the tournament, but kept the Beavs out.

Don't forget....Cal not only beat #4 Stanford, they also beat #1 Washington. Both of those wins came on the road, and both of those results came this month. Tough for the committee to ignore that.

Meanwhile, Oregon State did not beat either Stanford or Washington this year. (they felt their fate had been kinda sealed after the draw with the Cardinal up in Corvallis)
