Anyone else notice the dismal turnout this season?  In the odd year when we have all the good home games?

Even Big Game didn't sell out.

It's the dirty little topic that no one likes to raise in these parts because there is no explication for it, given Stanford now has "the best coach in Stanford history" at the helm.  SMH . . .

"Well, there's so many other things to do in the Bay Area" is the common explanation for the declining interest. Well that may be true, but there are also 70% more people in the Bay Area than in 1970, that's a lot bigger market to draw from. From a share of market perspective, a sell out would be six tenths of one percent of the population. Our marketing efforts can't even get close to that six days a year. Ugh.
