Great! In the next few days, our women's basketball team is participating in the finals of the Victoria Invitational against top ten team Mississippi State, our men's soccer team is participating in its NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen game against Virginia Tech, our women's swimming and diving team is participating in the U.S. Open Championships, and our women's soccer team is participating in the College Cup final four matchup against longtime rival UCLA.
I dearly hope that all this participation yields trophies. Lots and lots of trophies.
Nyuk nyuk how clever
There’s a reason why newspapers put some stories on the front page and others somewhere else. And why magazines have cover stories.
But sure, let’s make football fans wade through 80 posts if we don’t agree with their views.
Newspapers also have editors and they will not have five stories that make variations of the same point in the same issue.
Moreover, by condensing related threads, a football fan can find everything they are looking for in a single thread, rather than having to click through five different threads. Presumably, if the topic was of interest, you would have waded through the 80 posts, just through five different threads.
No posts or threads were deleted or locked.
The one downside that I can see is that in merged threads, it might be a bit more difficult to see who is replying to whom, since the posts are merged in the order the were written. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to preview the merged thread to be sure it was still cohesive before merging them.
