It's always a little bit deflating to see either of Stanford's soccer teams return from the tourney without a ring, but they'll still earn a rainbow pot worth of Sears Cup points for the Final Four.
The legendary teams of the recent past with Andrew Epstein, which won multiple championships, could not be scored on with an advance to the next round, or the title, on the line. They could have been renowned by this nickname -- "Ninety Minutes of Nope".
