We do not lose much when dipping into our bench and Tara has so many options to choose from, depending on game situation and matchup possibilities. I think this is much to do with our best recruiting class in years, not just in depth, but also in quality. All four of our freshmen have already contributed in significant ways and they haven't reached double digits in their collegiate careers yet.
I believe we have a stronger and better team than we did last year. As well accomplished as Alanna was and the key contributions Coffee made in big games, having these four freshmen come in and contribute right away, allows Tara more freedom with the depth chart and provides some youthful fearlessness and exuberance. Having Lexie fully recover over the summer and return to the level she was at the beginning of last season is also important.
Hopefully we will be at full strength sooner than later and that will give Tara even more choices to work with. Having a healthy DiJonai and Maya gives us an extremely deep roster.
Agree entirely.
While I hope to see Carrington and Dodson soon, if we don't see Dodson by the time Pac 12 play gets going, I will begin to wonder if she might become a possible redshirt. A foot injury sounds minor, but this thing has been keeping her away for many weeks now. But who knows, perhaps we will see her playing tomorrow :) I hope so.
