Watched a good amount of this game.  I'll bet 60 of Stanford's 78 points came in the paint or on fouls in the paint. Outside of White's three 3pt FGs, only Wills made another, which means Jones and Terry were 0-fer.  DaSilva just toyed with SJSU inside and did whatever he wanted against man and zone defenses. Though Jones and Terry had terrible shooting games, it was clearly obvious they and DaSilva are Stanford's best players.

White did go 3/4 from 3pt line but also led the team in turnovers with 4 in only 18 minutes played. He can't be allowed to play PG, and brings nothing on defense, but certainly can provide 3pt production. Davis also had a pretty invisible game. I can't figure out if Wills isn't assertive enough or he knows his limitations and plays within them, but he can defend and is a decent athlete. Delaire can be trusted to do some good things, and Keefe is limited but seems to have a decent head for the game.

I don't know what Kisunas is doing. I would push my starters over giving him minutes.  So basically Haase has 8 players who can contribute in some sort of meaningful way:

: Terry, DaSilva, Jones, Davis, Wills, Delaire, White, Keefe  

When you look at minutes played, those eight guys got the most minutes. So this makes sense. You'd love to have 9-10 guys who can play, but it is not at all uncommon for college teams to have 8-man rotations.  Biggest weakness for this team is lack of any real shot blocking presence.

Will be interesting to see how this team does against what looks like a pretty good USF team.  Probably need a win there to get Maples filled for the big Kansas tilt on ABC in two weeks.

Agree that White had far too many TOs yesterday (and a couple were bad - early pick up of dribble; needless long pass into traffic), though I disagree with one of the travel calls.

But I think his D is a tad better than CW in these parts.  Is he as good a defender as Wills, Davis and Terry?  No.  But there is a lot of room between that level and bad defense.
