It's beyond psycho. Here's an excerpt from a post on Cyber59er which says -- seriously, I think -- that we don't care if we win or lose at football, as long as we screw up the 59ers.

While their sports program as a whole strives for success, their football program has always, does, and will always strive for only one thing: to make School near Oakland football unstable/dysfunctional and to keep its fans miserable/divided. When the school I wish I had attended saw the opportunity to take one of our players away, they dropped everything, couldn't care less how horrible it would make their program appear from a PR standpoint, and kicked Jontrey [Tillman] in the gutter. That's how they roll . . . and that's how they've always rolled, and that's how they willl continue to roll. 50 yrs of "bad luck" does not happen by accident.

And they have a whole bunch more potential commits on the table still: mongoloids, really. This is all in response to the rumors they heard about us possibly having such a great year -- they did it in response, to frustrate us and belittle our accomplishment. Now this is going to be overboard.

Wow.  California fans and the pole smoker admins that run CGB and BI are delusional.  The only one responsible for California's failures is California.  They are their own worst enemy.  There is a thread on the Hoffpauir de-commit on BT that talks about how piss poor the alumni relations and post graduate giving and networking are at the school.  The school is sinking in prestige and because it has no culture of having solid alumni relations, when budget cuts are happening, they have nowhere to turn.

The place needs totally new leadership, but the culture of mediocrity and political correctness is probably too strong to even allow it to happen.  It's really depressing to see the flagship university of the biggest state in the country descending into mediocrity as it has.
