Is it too much to start wondering whether we could potentially have all of them back and a full playing roster by the first round NCAA tournament games the weekend of March 20-21? That's about 5 1/2 weeks from today (Mon., Feb. 11).
I wouldn't believe these words a week or two ago, but it sounds like Haley would be the last of the 3 players (Dodson, Carrington, Jones) who could come back?
Out season tix are corner end zone very near the Stanford bench.
When you see Dodson in her street clothes at games, she moves well and looks to be in great shape. I'm not shocked (at all) that she could very well suit up for the Utah/Colorado games.
The same generally holds for Carrington, though sometimes I think I see a slight hitch in her giddyup. [But again, this is of no medical value]. I'd be mildly surprised if Carrington played this season - but maybe her ultimate decision is tied to the ability to come back next year (as others have mentioned). At the same time, I wouldn't be shocked if Carrington played in a game or 3 before the NCAAs, but it's hard to see her being all the way "back" in that scenario.
But Jones? She is wearing a large brace that immobilizes her knee (keeps it straight). I'm no doctor, but I'd be absolutely shocked if she played this season. I'm just hoping for a full recovery (from whatever the injury was/is) and back in form at some point next season.
