It has long been my dream to sit and watch a few games with a good experienced ref to talk about all the calls, what the ref sees, etc.  Will never happen but it would be fantastic if it did.

With about 20 high-frame-rate cameras from all different angles, and anti-jitter cameras on the official's head or body to see what they see or don't see.  (One of my pet peeves is when a ref would seem to need X-ray vision for a call they make.)   Even better, record it as 3D and play it back in 3D from the view of the ref.  You could also enough cameras to watch it as VR so you can see what was going on, even if the ref couldn't see it.

Too bad there isn't a Seniors' game for BB for which one could do this.  Perhaps as a training video for BB Officials?  

No ref or former ref is really going to say much publicly that could be viewed as questioning any refs calling a game.
