Refereeing is certainly biased. I think it was Viking Guy who posted the link to the statistical study that showed that referees favor the home team over the visiting team, and they favor the team behind over the team ahead. The stats in that study seemed incontrovertible to me.
As the visiting team that was ahead for most of the game, I am sure we picked up a lot of that bias.
