That was a tough but excellent pass by Lexie.
on the inbounds pass from moschkau, we set up in our usual box, we screen as usual and lexie takes the inbound bounce pass and drives to the basket. at the top of the key, kiana drifts slowly for 2 steps after finishing her screen, then dashes for the left corner. moschkau drifts in slowly from the sideline towards the key, then dashes in to screen prechtel's defender. prechtel dashes to the right corner.
4 defenders collapse on lexie. that strategy worked great through the game to hold lexie almost scoreless, but at this moment, colorado is ahead by three and needs to defend the 3 point line. if lexie scores, bummer but colorado is still up one with the ball and less than 20 seconds left. instead, lexie is well guarded, but both kiana and prechtel are free on the baseline, outside the 3 point line, one left side, one right side - with no defender within 10 feet.
