Practice for golf seems hard to regulate.  So much of golf practice
is just getting out on the practice area or course and working
on what needs working on, without a coach.

And I can ask, unless Slide knows already,
how the NCAA regulates the use of outside coaches--
a specialty short game instructor like Dave Pelz, for example.

hulk -- there is a limitation but I cannot recall the specifics.  I do recall a few coaches grumbling about its seeming non-application to certain coaches.  I recall a few European swing coaches "magically" showing up from overseas when they were not allowed.  

Coach C should be a fun interview.  make sure to ask about diamonds in the rough and development.  I think that has been one of his underappreciated talents.   football has a brobdingnagian pool of talent to draw from compared to golf.
