Why would one assume that two talented OT wouldn't go to the same school?

Two reasons, in this specific case:

1) Murphy has often stated he values the chance of playing early, and likes the left tackle-shaped void on both SC and Stanford's roster. With Banner already committed, presumably that void looks less empty.

2) SC's sanctions are kicking in this year, and they can only take 15 commits plus early enrollees. As a consequence, the question is whether they want to allot five offensive line spots (current SC commits + (Murphy or Peat)) with only eighteen total scholarships to give out (I believe that's the correct number).
