I posted this in this forum on March 5:
alarming report from Germany in this week's New England J of Medicine confirming transmission of infection early in its asymptomatic incubation period. Patient "1"(who had been infected by a then-asymptomatic index patient who had traveled to Germany from China) then infected another work colleague with whom he had contacts only the same day or the day after patient 1 himself became infected--and 3 or 4 days before patient 1 became symptomatic. If such early transmission soon after infection is common, it will spread quickly and widely.
