How would a non-athlete be disciplined by the university of this type of offense? Some type of probation?
Athletes, as faces of the University, should be held to a higher standard, IMO. In addition to the punishment handed down by the legal authorities, and the University administration, suspending him from a few games at the beginning of the season seems appropriate for a first offense (assuming that this IS a first time). Anything beyond that seems excessive.
