Connecticut designated Covid-only nursing homes this week, so let's not throw a parade for it just yet.
My nurse friend's facility was forced to accept untested new patients starting at the end of April. Hospitals wanted them out of their care and they had nowhere else to go. The testing capacity didn't exist, nor did the facility plans, to get anything right on this front. There is plenty of blame to go around at all levels.
New Jersey talked about Covid-only places but the logistics were insane.
