Hmmm... maybe moving to a system where conferences, rather than schools, provide the sites might be a better way to do things. I guess that's less compelling with geography having little relevance for conferences.
Are rules/guidelines for selection listed somewhere? (Also, are rules/guidelines for placing teams in the brackets available somewhere?)

Stanford is one of the first round sites. But next would be Spokane (900 miles, 0 time zones), then Boulder (1300 miles, 1 time zone), then Lubbock (1400 miles, 2 time zones), Waco (1800 miles, 2 time zones), College Station (1800 miles, 2 time zones).
