I think it is a bit misleading to say ASU has the best defense in the conference.
For the conference games, ASU's opponents have averaged 52.8 points, while Stanford's opponents have averaged 52.2.
When you include non-conference games (teams like UConn & Tennessee or E. Washington & Army), yeah, it is ASU opponents 52.0, Stanford opponents 54.5.
Today's game had a season high in season lows:
FG: 15 (avg 29)
3PT: 0 (avg 5)
Points: 52 (avg 77)
Assists: 7 (avg 17)
Points in the paint: 20 (avg 36)
Bench: 0 (avg 18)
2pt%: 37% (avg 51%)
3pt%: 0% (avg 31%)
FG%: 29.4% (avg 45.5%)
A/TO:Â 0.44 (avg 1.32)
Unforced errors (TO - opponent S): 3 (avg 6) [That's a positive stat]
Opponent steals: 13 (avg 6)
