Over the last five years, I think we will see that the two biggest issues that Shaw has had to deal with (and arguable did not adequately address) are the departures of Turley and the head athletic trainer.  Probably the latter more so than Turley since some on this board have been high on Turley's protege as a replacement, but all those injuries and the departure of the head athletic trainer being replaced with someone reportedly inexperienced? Gee, I wonder about all those injuries lately.

A close third is going to be his inability to get more player development out of his assistant (position) coaches, particularly the QB position.  That 2017 class sure didn't stop Stanford from having terrible seasons recently.

You say terrible seasons. Other than 2019, which ones are you referring to?
