I can't agree, Yvonne. Just last fall this board was full of posts raging against the BCS computers for lowballing us.

Except, of course, had we finished undefeated, we would've done exactly what we wanted. And our fate for losing a game was not exactly terrible either. The BCS system doesn't particularly reward strength of schedule at the current moment; if we shift to a system where only the top four conference champions reach the playoffs, we may see more of an emphasis on interesting, competitive nonconference games. At the moment, there's really no reason besides pride and fan interest to schedule a nonconference game you think you might lose.
