Tough loss. I really thought KJ was going to pull it off.

One add... twice MSU went for it’s on fourth and two deep in Arkansas territory. On the one hand, down by 7, getting three would still have left MSU more than a field goal behind. On the other hand, had it kicked the field goal both times, they would have gotten the ball back down only 1, and it is a lot easier to play for a winning field goal with less than a minute on the clock than going for the TD.
In the end, MSU was done in by Costello’s three INT’s (one a pick six) and, crucially on a fumble on a punt return with 4+ minutes left. The next time MSU got the ball, they had less than a minute in the game and would have had to drive 85 yards to tie the game.
