"Beaten" by absolutely insane catches by a future NFL player, on which he was there stride-for-stride the entire time. Dude will be fine. These are his first football games in 3 years. You can think of him as an old freshman.

I agree with this assessment. The thing about playing cornerback, it seems, is that sometimes you can do everything right and still get beat. The opposite side of this coin is when the receiver drops a ball or the quarterback wildly overthrows the target and the cornerback hops up immediately to celebrate as if he'd done something. Sometimes the results lie.
