Yes indeed. Dr. "Don't call her Czar" Cody had edicted that no contact sports, at any level, are allowed in Santa Clara County. No 49ers, no Cardinal, no Spartans, no Sharks, nobody. The only county in the country with such a edict.
I suspect they may stay in the Northwest even after the Oregon State game to play the one game they missed vs. Wazzu during the weekend of the conference championship.
Of course, that's a very long 3-week road trip, and it's a lot to ask of the whole team for a presumably meaningless game. It would also be surprising if they don't end up having any COVID issues after spending that long on the road, presumably eating in restaurants and being exposed to many people in hospitality outside their bubble. Dr. Cody's decision definitely put the team, their families (when they go home for the holidays), and their communities at greater risk, not less. It would have been more rational if coordinated at a regional or at least statewide level, but as it stands, nothing good has been achieved.
So... For Dec. 19 we get WAZZU in Pullman -- in the snow?
Last month on Dec. 19 during Pac-12 Champ game, the other teams were going to play their same ranked team in the other division.
Could be UCLA for Stanford (?) in the Rose Bowl... in December. Instead, with COVID, we get the Snow-blower Bowl?
The two week ahead forecast for Pullman Dec. 19 is "Rain / Snow Showers" and 39F. For a Calif team on the road.
