Talked with a good friend who studied at USC, worked with me in research on East Coast, and then moved to Australia (Melbourne).  He went to see Tenet in a movie theater with his wife who is a doc.  They've had the virus under control for a while.  I've seen tweets of packed concerts.  He said the stuff they had to do in the beginning would never have been accepted in US.  There was a breakdown in their strict border control:
