It was worse than that. He played poorly, then he got hurt, then he was beaten out by a true frosh. I feel bad for him. Whoever was advising him did him a grave disservice.
I don't know about that. KJ will have the memories of knocking off defending national champion LSU Tigers for life - and he undoubtedly was the talk of the college football world for that first weekend. Would he have had a better experience standing on the sidelines for 6 games (and no bowl) at Stanford?
As far as pro chances go, there is no difference.
With Mills out with the COVID clusterfark, he’d have started against Oregon, and may have started against Colorado, given Mills had a limited practice time.
